Next, you are asked to select a tutoring package that best meets your needs. In general, individual tutoring sessions cost more than package purchases. To view various tutoring packages click here. We encourage students to sign up for at least six sessions. You can purchase any combination of tutoring packages with the assurance that any unused portion of the tutoring services will be credited back to your account after debiting your account for the sessions already used charged at the applicable rate of the number of hours used. We pride ourselves in the quality of tutoring services we offer and would like to hear from you if you are not satisfied with any aspect of our services. We strongly believe that customer feedback can help us make our service better and more customized to meet your needs. We therefore, offer you a money back guarantee if you are not satisfied with our tutoring service. We request you to let us know of any problems after a session is over so that we can take appropriate action.

Once you have selected a tutoring package, you will be taken to a secure payment portal where you can make payment for the selected package using a major credit card. As soon as the payment is processed, your account is immediately credited for the amount paid and your account will show the number of tutoring hours remaining in your credit. As long as you have a credit balance in your account, you are free to schedule tutoring sessions by logging in and scheduling sessions that are convenient for you.

Session Scheduling and Attending Tutoring Sessions

In this step, you will provide your login name and password which will allow you to schedule a tutoring session based on a selection of available times and dates. If you have a preference for a particular tutor, you can request this. If you need to cancel a scheduled session, please do so at least 24 hours before the scheduled time and date to avoid being billed for that time. You will be able to cancel a session after logging in and checking your scheduled sessions. By clicking on the "cancel" button next to a scheduled session, you can easily cancel a session as long as this is done at least 24 hours before its scheduled time. Your account is immediately credited for the hours canceled and you can use those hours to reschedule new sessions. As long as you have a credit balance in your account, you are free to schedule sessions. You can always add additional hours to your account by selecting a new tutoring package and making the appropriate payment.

After you schedule a session, you will receive an invitation to attend the tutoring session at the requested time (and date )of the session. At the scheduled time (and date), you should follow the instructions in the invitation. After you login using the link provided in the invitation you will find the tutor waiting for you and your tutoring session can begin.

You are not required to have any special software installed. After logging in, a whiteboard screen appears in your computer screen. ( Click here to see technical requirements and settings to use the shared whiteboard) This whiteboard is easy and intuitive to use. The teacher and student share the same electronic whiteboard and exchange questions and answers in writing which are displayed on both their computer displays. The student and tutor speak either through their computer’s built in microphone and speaker or through an external headphone with microphone. In addition to being able to share questions and answers with the tutor, the tutor or student can display any slides, diagrams, or examples that he or she wishes to share from his or her computer. Hence, the sessions are virtually seamless in terms of allowing real-time interactions all in a setting and at the times that the student chooses. We recommend that the student purchases the optional digital tablet and headphone (approximately $75 for both) which is easier to use but our whiteboard does not require its purchase.
